How Assignment Works
Insurers, TPAs and other claims organizations assign matters to Exero Claims through the Exero Claims Assignment Portal. Each referral is reviewed, scoped and authorized before investigative work begins, and the client receives a factual report for its own decisions.
Who Can Assign a Matter
Insurance carriers, third-party administrators, self-insured businesses and organizations, government and public-sector organizations where appropriately instructed, and international insurers and claims professionals can assign matters in the Czech Republic. Exero Claims does not accept work directly from individual claimants in matters where it may be retained by the insurer.
The Assignment Process
Referral
The client provides the information it holds about the matter and describes the investigative need, through the Exero Claims Assignment Portal.
Initial Review
Exero Claims reviews the information provided to understand the requested scope, the requirements and any instructions from the client.
Scope and Authorization
Assignment requirements, scope and authorization are reviewed before investigative work begins. Questions about scope, timing or anticipated costs can be discussed at this stage.
Assignment
The matter is assigned for the appropriate investigative, verification or compliance work.
Investigation or Verification
Work is conducted according to the approved scope of the assignment and with regard to applicable Czech and EU legal, privacy and data-protection requirements.
Reporting
Relevant factual findings and supporting documentation are provided to the instructing client, as set out in the assignment. Reports can be provided in Czech or English.
Client Decision
Exero Claims reports facts. Claims, coverage, liability, fraud, benefits and payment decisions remain with the instructing client.
Information That Helps When Referring a Matter
The information available will vary by assignment. Where available, a referral can include:
- Client or claim reference number
- Type of matter and, where relevant, the type of cover
- The requested service, or the question the investigation should answer
- Information about the subject or claimant that the client already holds
- Known deadlines
- Relevant documents
- Preferred report language (Czech or English)
- The authorized contact at the client organization
Only information relevant to the assignment is needed. Claim files and case documents should be sent through the Assignment Portal rather than the general contact form.
What the Client Receives
Clients receive written reports describing the investigative work performed and the information developed. Reports distinguish investigator observations from witness statements, third-party information and research findings. Photographs, video and other supporting material are included when obtained during the authorized assignment.
What Remains With the Client
Exero Claims investigates, verifies, documents and reports facts. Decisions on the claim, including coverage, liability, fraud, benefits and payment, remain with the instructing client.
International Assignments
Insurers, TPAs and claims professionals based outside the Czech Republic can assign matters directly. Field work is carried out in Czech; instructions, updates and reports can be handled in English.
