Research may include:

  • Identity and address information
  • Company ownership and management
  • Corporate affiliations
  • Business activities
  • Property interests
  • Insolvency and bankruptcy information
  • Court and public records
  • Adverse media
  • Publicly available online information
  • Other information relevant to the authorized underwriting enquiry

The scope of the research is based on the underwriting purpose and the client's instructions.

Corporate and Business Research

Due diligence involving a company or commercial risk may include research concerning:

  • Corporate registrations
  • Ownership
  • Management
  • Related companies
  • Public financial or insolvency information
  • Business records
  • Other relevant public or commercial information

Material discrepancies identified during the research are documented for the client's review.

Individual Background Research

Where relevant and appropriate to the underwriting purpose, background research concerning an individual may be conducted within the authorized scope of the enquiry.

Research is limited to information relevant to the purpose of the assignment and lawfully available sources.

Public Records and Open-Source Research

Research may use Czech public records, official registers, appropriate commercial databases, media sources and other lawful open sources.

OSINT can also be used to identify publicly available information relevant to the underwriting enquiry.

Field Verification

Where local verification is required, an investigator can attend an address, business, property or other relevant location in the Czech Republic.

The investigator documents the conditions observed at the time of attendance and conducts authorized enquiries according to the client's instructions.

International Underwriting Support

International insurers and underwriting professionals can instruct Exero Claims when verification is required concerning a Czech business, property, risk or individual.

Reporting

The client receives a factual report describing the research and verification performed.

Reports distinguish confirmed information from information that could not be independently verified and identify relevant limitations where appropriate.

Exero Claims provides investigative and verification information.

The instructing insurer or underwriting professional determines the significance of the information and makes underwriting and risk decisions.

Data Protection and Privacy

Due diligence research is conducted for an identified purpose and with regard to applicable Czech and EU privacy and data protection requirements.
