Witness Interviews & Recorded Statements
Exero Claims conducts witness interviews and recorded statements for insurance claims throughout the Czech Republic.
Interviews can help establish facts, clarify conflicting information and obtain a detailed account from a claimant, insured, witness or other person with information relevant to the claim.
Insurance Claim Interviews
An interview may address:
- The circumstances of an incident or loss
- What the person personally saw or heard
- Sequence and timing of events
- People present
- Conditions at the location
- Injuries or damage the person observed
- Events before or after the incident
- Other matters relevant to the claim
The scope of the interview is based on the client's instructions and the information available concerning the claim.
Recorded Statements
When requested by the client and appropriate for the assignment, an interview can be documented as a recorded statement.
The investigator conducts the interview according to the investigative objective and documents the information provided by the interviewee.
Recording and procedural requirements are handled according to applicable requirements and the circumstances of the assignment.
Claimant and Insured Interviews
Exero Claims can interview claimants, insured persons and other relevant individuals when authorized by the instructing client.
The investigator documents the person's account and any relevant information developed during the interview.
The investigator does not determine coverage, liability or the validity of the claim.
Witness Interviews
Independent witnesses can provide information concerning the circumstances of an incident, conditions at a location, people present and other relevant facts.
Where necessary, an assignment can also include research or field enquiries to locate or recontact a witness.
Witness Location Research
When a witness is no longer available at the address or contact information contained in the claim file, additional research may be conducted to identify current contact information where lawful and appropriate to the assignment.
International Claims
International insurers, TPAs and claims professionals can instruct Exero Claims to conduct interviews in the Czech Republic.
Interviews can be conducted locally in Czech, with reporting provided to international clients in English.
Reporting
The investigation report identifies the person interviewed, the circumstances of the interview and the relevant information provided.
Recorded material and other supporting documentation are provided according to the requirements of the assignment.
The report distinguishes information provided by the interviewee from investigator observations and other investigative findings.
Data Protection and Privacy
Interviews and related personal information are handled with regard to applicable Czech and EU privacy and data protection requirements.
