Surveillance provides an independent record of publicly observable activity that may be relevant to the handling of a claim.

Claims Surveillance

Surveillance may be used in connection with:

  • Personal injury claims
  • Workplace injury claims
  • Disability and benefits claims
  • Motor and liability claims
  • Long-term absence or incapacity matters
  • Claims involving possible misrepresentation
  • Other claims where publicly observable activity is relevant

Observed activity is reported factually. Investigators do not make medical conclusions or determine the validity of the claim.

Conducting the Investigation

Before surveillance begins, the investigator reviews the information provided by the client, including available subject information, relevant addresses, dates and the purpose of the assignment.

Surveillance is conducted from public or otherwise lawfully permitted locations.

Investigators document relevant observations and obtain photographs or video when circumstances permit.

For assignments conducted over multiple days, the investigative approach may be adjusted based on information developed during earlier activity.

Activity Verification

Relevant observations can include publicly observable travel, walking, driving, shopping, recreational activity, work-related activity and other conduct connected to the investigative purpose.

Exero Claims reports what was observed.

The client determines the significance of those observations in relation to the claim.

Reporting

The client receives a written surveillance report identifying the dates and times of the investigation and the activity observed.

Relevant photographs and video obtained during the authorized assignment are provided with the report.

Czech Republic Coverage

Surveillance is available throughout the Czech Republic.

Assignments may involve a single surveillance period or multiple investigative days depending on the requirements of the claim and the client's instructions.

Privacy and Data Protection

Surveillance is conducted for an identified investigative purpose and with regard to applicable Czech and EU privacy and data protection requirements.
